I am a wildlife artist who paints in acrylic. I have been painting wildlife for over 25 years and enjoy everything that deals with nature. I use very bold colors which helps bring my subject matter forward.
I also sometimes use soft out of focus backgrounds which helps push my subject matter even more forward to give a three-dimensional effect. I have won numerous awards for my work and have been a featured artist at many events.
I paint on prepared masonite board building up layers of paint to get the desired effect and boldness of color. I will start from the background of the painting and work forward until the last layer painted would be closest to the viewer.
