Living in Northwestern Pennsylvania, I am fortunate to be surrounded by nature, and my art is based on it.
I am involved in textures to create interest - mixing various ingredients to draw the eye and combing a realistic painting of say, a bird, with colorful textures and unexpected backgrounds. I focus mainly on birds, bees, and florals. I have been involved with my birds as of late and have seen a steady progression with the mixed media from simple textures to fabrics and most recently needle felting. I am always exploring! |
