Nature is the inspiration for my body of work. The incredible intricacies and order found in the natural world stir up in me an urge to mimic them in drawings and then in the tactile medium of metal.
All my pieces are original designs. I use the term "original" loosely because the drawings are simply my interpretation of nature and the metal designs are translations or abstractions of those interpretations. The gracefully twisting lines, repetitive order, textures, and contrasts found on land and in sea shout out to tell the story of God's creation.
