Let me close my eyes, spin the proverbial globe, and pick our next round of artists! As the title most likely gave away, we're going to dig into the world of Fiber arts!

That's right, we aren't all full of wood over here at Art in the Wilds. Here we appreciate warm clothing, stylish clothing, and some unique visual arts that inspire warmth, as well!

This year, we welcome back Pamela "Pam" Bartl, Debbie Penley, and Evian Zukas-Ogus!

Pam has been creating magic with yarn for nearly 37 years weaving new shapes and color combinations to this day! All that experience is mainly focused on making beautiful yet practical clothing for everyone of all ages to enjoy. Since the yarns used are cotton, that makes these great pieces super comfortable; so comfortable that someone may snuggle you! Each creation is made on a loom in which it requires passing the shuttle 360 times across it in order to make a yard of fabric! This is the type of hand-made area absolutely everyone can enjoy.

Evian Zukas-Ogus is an artist that has dedicated their life to learning their craft majoring in art at Slippery Rock University and then earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in textiles! Discovering the art of knitting and crocheting in college, this talent has blossomed, bloomed, and grown into a tree over the years. 'Dabbling' in fiber art will undoubtedly grow their talent even further than it already is in their wonderful knitted clothing. Evian brings style to even the most practical of pieces so you'll enjoying it with as much love as was put into making it!

Debbie Penley, who I did not forget about, has taken wool to it's limits then kept on going. I would be willing to argue that she may have a foot in the sculpting category, thought that may just be my lingering love of debate. Nevertheless, I doubt anyone would argue with me once they see the mind-bending creations! At a glance, 'wool' is never the first thought I have no matter how many times I glance at her works. More often than not, that thought is, "How??".  Not only are these pieces spectacular to gaze at, the soft material and myriad colors will draw your curious fingers in as well. You'll want to display one of her pieces in your home where you can give it a graze upon passing every day!

A few more days and we can all track down these artists' stalls to add to our treasure collections...
